About Us Christy Simmons is the product of a "mixed marriage"; a classical concert pianist, and a dixieland tenor sax man. With this rich musical background, of course she went into acting! After establishing herself locally in improvisational sketch comedy, she moved to Los Angeles, where she discovered her singing voice. Since that time (mid 1980's), she has performed in musical comedy, cabaret, readers' theatre and dinner theatre, as well as film and radio. After her return to St. Louis, Christy quickly became a mainstay of the St. Louis theatrical community, performing on The Goldenrod Showboat, The Royal Dumpe Dinner Theatre, Historionics Theatre Company, That UppityTheatre Company, The JCCA, before starting her own production company, Topper Productions. Somehow, she also found time to be an on air personality at WEW770am, where she indulged her love of jazz standards, and big band music. Eventually, her passion for jazz led her to align herself with three of the finest jazz musicians in St. Louis. "These guys are so great, it's a kick to go to work!" Christy's well recieved Solo Cabaret show: "Cause I'm A Woman" debuted at The Kranzberg Arts Center, in October of 2009. It will be repeated at The Kranzberg in Spring of 2010, but you don't have to wait until then, you can book it for your next private or corporate event! Christy brought the house down as a triple-threat MC/Singer/Comic in the recent hit, "From Gaslight To Spotlight", at The Gaslight Theatre. A lively romp through the history and high spirited entertainment of legendary St. Louis Landmark, Gaslight Square. "From Gaslight To Spotlight" is also available for corporate and private groups.
